Activities for Youth

  • Painting Classes – School Holiday Program

The program helped our youth/ children to express themselves through a mixture of color, texture, shape, line and more!

  • Boot Camp Program

The boot camp course was made for the youth to challenge themselves physically as well as mentally. Fitness boot camps are intensive workout programs aimed at improving the participants’ physical fitness. The programs are design to incorporate elements of strength training, cardiovascular exercise, and
agility drills.

Our Vision Our Story

Indian Squad Women Association (ISWA) is a community-based organization serving the residents of Bankstown, Canterbury and surrounding areas in Sydney, Australia. Established in 2015 as a project of the Bankstown Community Resource Group, ISWA aims to provide essential community services to the outlying districts of Bankstown and Canterbury.

Mission and Objectives

ISWA’s mission is multifaceted:

  1. To alleviate poverty, distress, and misfortune affecting residents of the Bankstown and Canterbury.
  2. To direct those in need to appropriate resource centers when assistance is beyond ISWA’s capabilities.
  3. To foster a community that practices social justice, access, and equity principles, empowering the disadvantaged to make their own choices.
  4. To secure appropriate funding to address identified community needs and ensure ISWA’s effective functioning.

Programs and Services

ISWA relies primarily on local council, federal government, CCSP grant, West Connex department of social service. The organization offers a range of services designed to:

  • Improve community health and well-being
  • Strengthen social networks
  • Assist in community building processes

These services are provided in partnership with other government and non-government community agencies.

Public Officer role is being one of the crucial role in ISWA and is lead by Meher, a competitive individual.

Assisting the ongoing tasks in ISWA and can be referred to as backbone of ISWA.

When it comes to accounting and finance matters, we have Meher Sultana, a trusted member and treasurer working for the cause of ISWA.

Community Engagement Officer – Malik Sarim Mehmood

Malik Sarim Mehmood – A dedicated and vigilant officer reaching out people across the community and making ISWA work grow with every passing day.
